This Pu Er from the Menghai region is composed of beautiful dark brown leaves. Stored in relatively dry conditions in Kunming for over 20 years, this tea has developing tannins and aromas. Already, it offers a mellow infusion although still lively, with woody notes reminding of old furniture and shitake mushroom as well as herbaceous notes of cutted hay and artichoke's heart. Its tasty finish reveals a saline mineral touch that stimulates the tastebuds. A vintage that certainly promises us very good years ahead!
