Tie Luo Han is one of the four remaining original tea-tree cultivars of the Wuyi Mountains. The high-quality leaves of this grand-cru have been processed entirely by hand: from harvest to the multiple charcoal roastings that give this tea its warm character. The aromatic profile of the infusion is equal parts complex and comforting. The mineral notes typical of Wuyishan terroir are joined by woody notes of exotic wood and old furniture; decadent aromas of caramel, cocoa, and molasses; and a touch of opulent floral perfume, reminiscent of goldenrod or sweet clover.
