The Yabukita cultivar's reputation is well established as it is so widespread in Japan. However, it is not so easy to find a good one! But here it is! Hand-picked and processed in the traditional workshops of one of the oldest tea factories in Uji (Mr. Yoshida is a 16th-generation tea producer in his family!), this sencha is a rare gem produced in very small quantities.
Its beautiful long emerald green needles give off a soft vegetal freshness reminiscent of wild flowers. When infused, we obtain a delicate, sweet liquor with a silky texture that cradles the palate. Notes of lamb's lettuce, wild flower, snow pea, wild strawberry and a touch of sea salt blend wonderfully, all enhanced with a nice dose of umami. The persistence is long and sweet, with delicate floral and herbaceous notes. A high-class sencha to savor in your most precious moments!
