Tamaryokucha is a lesser known green tea than its cousin Sencha. It differs from the latter only by the rolling of its leaves which takes on the appearance in its case of a more twisted leaf, rather than the needle-like shape of most other Japanese green teas.
Produced in Kagoshima from a spring harvest of Yabukita and Saemidori, its beautiful bright green infusion offers a creamy and rich texture. From its roasted and herbaceous nuances, it evokes notes reminiscent of nut butter, sesame, grilled kale and lamb's lettuce as well as delicately fruity notes of mango and yuzu.
