Originating from the Phoenix Mountains (Fenghuang Shan) in Guangdong province, Huang Zhi Xiang &mdash whose name means "yellow gardenia fragrance" &mdash belongs to the classic aroma families that define the Dan Cong category. Its dark, roasted leaves release an amber liquor with fruity notes of apricot and peach, orange blossom, and toasted almond, carried through to a lovely pink grapefruit finish. Its woody character, shaped by patient roasting, brings warmth and roundness to every sip.
