The Yame area, near Fukuoka, is one of the most famous regions in Japan for its high quality gyokuro. It is in the village of Hoshino that this tea was grown ecologically under shade for three weeks before its manual harvest. Its emerald-green leaves are shiny and give off rich fruity and herbaceous aromas. Their infusion releases a soft, slightly cloudy green liquor with a silky texture on the palate. Flavors of white fruits, fresh seaweed, asparagus and fern shoots, sesame seeds as well as a delicately iodized marine aspect, give this complex tea a highly refreshing and aromatic character. A real delight to savor peacefully.
