Hand-harvested in very limited quantity in autumn 2023 by Mr. Miyazaki and his team in Gokase, in the mountainous heart of Kyushu, this rare white tea comes from the Kanayamidori cultivar. Among all the white teas they currently offer, this is, without a moment's hesitation, the lot the team singled out as their true favourite.
In the cup, the liquor is clear and silky, of striking purity. The nose opens with indulgent notes of yellow apple and summer honey, soon joined by a delicate apple blossom, before drifting into deeper accents of mango, beeswax, and angel food cake. The whole unfolds with an enveloping roundness, leading to a remarkably caressing finish. A unique treasure to be savoured with all the attention it deserves.
