This white tea is harvested at the beginning of March in Yunnan’s Simao region. The large, silvery buds contrast beautifully with their attached inky black first leaves, yielding a bright yet soft liquor that is low in tannin. Vegetal notes of wheatgrass stand cheek by jowl with fruity notes of plantain, sweet chestnut, and apricot. Its texture is silky and soothing to the throat. A delightful and delicately sweet white tea; refreshing.
