Here is a remarkable sencha produced on a small scale heritage parcel in Uji (near Kyoto). Okumidori is a cultivar with a late harvest and a nice aromatic freshness. Balanced and tasty, without astringency, its buttered infusion is a real caress for the senses. Clear and refreshing like a breeze in summer, the latter conceals notes of lamb's lettuce, pear, buttery yellow bean and a sweet marine finish mixing salinity and summer flower sap. Another masterpiece, available in small quantitiy, signed by the Yoshida family.
