This tea evokes us of:
🍑 Peach 🍭 Candi sugar 🍃 Wintergreen 🍐 Asian pear
Although better known for its oolongs, Taiwan is home to one black tea of significant repute: T18. This tree is a hybrid between an Assam and a local tea varietal -- the combined characteristics of the two give a sweet and complex cup with notes reminding us of raw molasses, mint and wintergreen, ripe fruits, and malt. This lot is semi-wild harvested on tea trees about 70 years old and completely produced by hand. Unusual and delectable.
