This is a variation of Gaba Cha that Mr. Wu created exclusively for us, using T18, a black tea cultivar well known for producing some of the finest lots from Sun Moon Lake. This oolong, processed using the technique that amplifies the GABA molecule &mdash particularly relaxing for both body and mind &mdash shares some aromatic traits with the original version: notes of stewed apple, dried fruit, and a mouth-watering light acidity. It also offers woodier notes reminiscent of toasted pecans and soft molasses, along with the signature menthol freshness of T18. A lovely evening alternative to black tea, since this tea is very low in caffeine!
