An aged oolong that has spent nearly two decades taking shape before reaching your cup. In Anxi, the historic birthplace of Tie Guan Yin, this tea underwent repeated cycles of re-roasting &mdash a slow, patient craft that gradually reshapes its character: the floral brightness of young harvests has given way to a deep, amber liquor where flower now lingers only as a whisper. On the palate, the round richness of crème brûlée and browned butter unfolds, followed by maple syrup and a note of stewed red fruit that lend an almost jammy sweetness. A quiet thread of leather grounds it all in a depth that only long-matured teas possess. An oolong for those drawn to full textures and flavours burnished by time.
